What this space is for. Every article is free for anyone to read. Members can talk about the articles in the comment section. The topics we cover are often hard ones, and working through them is the reason this site exists. Your comments matter. People will read your words and think about them. Make your words worth reading.

Be honest. Disagree freely. Show respect. Members will disagree with each other. That is normal and welcome. Say what you really think, and stick to arguing the idea instead of attacking the person. What we don't allow is mockery, name-calling, and contempt.

Use your name. When you join, we ask for a name, not a username. We talk with real people here, not bots or anonymous trolls. Use whatever name you go by. Own your words.

Share what you know. You know things the rest of us don't. Your experience, your work, your questions. That's what makes the discussion worth having.

Stay on topic and share your sources. Link to articles, reports, and facts that back up what you're saying. Posting your own work is fine when it fits the discussion. Spam, ads, and drive-by links are not.

Report comments that attack people. To report a comment, click the three dots next to it and choose Report Comment. A real person reads every report. Report harassment, threats, slurs, or ganging up on someone. Do not report someone just for disagreeing with you. Arguing about hard topics is what this site is for.

What we do about it. A comment that attacks people gets removed, and the member who wrote it is told why. If it keeps happening, the member loses their membership. Removing a comment is never about punishing an opinion. Opinions are the point. It's about protecting the people.

Notifications. If someone replies to your comment, you'll get an email. You can turn those off any time in your email settings.
